Term 4 Swimming and a few extra's

 Hello everyone,

Just a small update about our busy week. We have welcomed two new students into Kakano 8 this week, Toa and Lachlan. We now have 19 children in Kakano 8. Tomorrow is our first swimming day, Thursday our second day. There will be no swimming on Friday because of the colour fun run.

Swimming

Your child needs their togs and a towel (goggles are optional). Kakano 8's swimming time is from 2:15 -2:45. The children need to manage themselves getting dressed into their togs and back changed again. However, I would welcome any help if you arrive at pick up time early to ensure the children are packed to go home.

Sunhats

Sunhats are a part of the summer school uniform. If your child does not bring their hat to school they cannot play at whole school play. They must sit under the shade. Please help your child to remember their sunhat each day.

Colour Fun Run:

We have had a little more information about the colour fun run happening this Friday. It should be an amazing afternoon. You are welcome to come and watch. It starts from 1:30pm The children must do one lap of the obstacle course. This will start from the Church carpark go down the path and around to the Ranolf St school entrance. Then onto the turf for bouncy castles. Then hurdles and getting squirted from the colours on our school field. If they want to keep going and do more laps on the turf and through the colours they can, other wise they can stop and rest.

I really recommend getting a pale or white t-shirt. I have been part of a colour before and it is really exciting seeing the colours on their clothes.
